Pop-up Heart Card | Kid’s Craft for Valentine’s Day

This Valentine’s Day, many of us will be sending cards to our loved ones to express our affection. Making Valentine’s Day cards has long since been a tradition in many schools and this year will be no different.

Our latest craft provides a new and exciting take on Valentine’s Day cards with a pop-up heart card.

With an easy to follow video tutorial and an image tutorial, your kids will be crafting in no time.

Video Tutorial

Picture Tutorial

You will need scissors, glue, 1 piece of coloured card and a few pieces of coloured paper.
Fold the coloured card and paper in half.
Cut half a heart shape from the folded edge. When unfolded, you will have a full heart.
Repeat the previous step using the coloured paper, but making the hearts smaller
Stick one side of one of the small hearts to one side of the large heart, meeting at the inside fold.
Stick one half of your next small heart to the opposite side of your first small heart.
Repeat this process for all small hearts, sticking the outer edge of your final small heart to the opposite side of the large heart to where you began.
Leave your card open and your hearts spread out until the glue dries.
